Youth Cast

 Savana Dearman (Ann, Christmas Treat)

Savana is excited to be performing in her first full production with The Masquerade Theatre.  She was last seen at Masquerade Theatre in the youth performance of School House Rock and with Miss Stephanie's class performance of All That Jazz.  Savana studies voice with Stephanie Bradow, acting with Kory Kilgore, and piano with David Taylor.  Savana is a fifth grade honor student and is Vice President of Hamblien Middle School Student Council and is a member of the Hamblien Show Choir.  She thanks her family and her grandparents for the opportunity to develop her talents with the professionals at Masquerade Theatre.

(Tiny Tim, Christmas Treat) Ben Estus 

Ben is twelve years old and currently attends St. Francis Middle School.  He started theatre at age seven.  Scrooge is his first production on Masquerade's Main Stage.  He was also in the Masquerade Youth Theatre's Jr. Company production of Once On This Island.  Ben co-starred in the movie The Last Man Club with Charles Durning and has done a taped demonstration for Oprah, and a national Waste Management commercial.  He is actively involved in TUTS.  Ben has performed in numerous musicals including: Sound of Music (Kurt), Oliver (Oliver), and Mary Poppins (Michael Banks).  He is represented by Pastorini-Bosby and would like to thank his acting coach Connie Cooper for all of her help and encouragement.  Ben also wants to thank everyone who supports him in his acting, singing, and dancing, especially his family.

 Kirby Gilbert (Mary, Christmas Gift)

Kirby is no stranger to The Masquerade Stage.  She was seen in Aesop's Falables (Clarissa Crow), Whistle Down the Wind (Holly), and performed the Shirley Temple song "Animal Crackers in My Soup" at the 2003 Summer Kick-Off party.  Other credits include: Snoopy (bird), Mack and Mable (chorus, and TUTS 2001 Gala.  Kirby is a member of The Masquerade Youth Theatre professional school.  She has also taken classes at TUTS, Excellent Studios, and Stages Repertory Theatre.  She has trained with Kim Terry, Lee Peterson, Charnele Brown, and Rosie Curtis.  She is excited to be a part of Scrooge this season.

(Belinda Cratchitt, Christmas Gift) Caroline Leggett

Caroline is excited to be a part of her second main stage show at Masquerade having previously been seen in Whistle Down The Wind as Abby.  Masquerade Youth theatre credits include The Wizard of Oz (lollipop boy, flying monkey, talkingh tree); Aesop's Fallables (Wilfred Wolf); Broadway Bound Review; I Want to Be President (Alberta Gore and co-writer of script);and I Believe in Make Believe (Princess).  Caroline also played Eponine in Les Miserables at HITS Theatre and was chorus in a workshop production of Oklahoma at TUTS.  Caroline has studied dance since she was three years old and currently studies acting with Luther Chakurian and Damie Oliver and voice with Stephanie Bradow.  She is a third grader at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart.  Caroline thanks the Lord for His love and grace. 

 Christen Leggett (Beth, Caroler, Christmas Gift)

Christen is thrilled to be making her theatrical debut in Masquerade's production of Scrooge.  She has been in the Masquerade Youth Theatre's Wizard of Oz (flying monkey, lullaby girl, hairdresser, munchkin); Broadway Bound Review and a part of the "Young Stars" class.  She enjoys singing, dancing, gymnastics and piano.  Christen is a first grader at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart.  She would like to thank Phillip for this wonderful opportunity and thank God for His love.

(Bonnie Cratchitt, Caroler, Little Fan, Christmas Treat) Morgan MacInnes

Morgan made her first appearance at The Masquerade Theatre as Beth in last year's holiday production of Whistle Down The Wind.  You may have also seen her as Interplanet Janet in The Masquerade Youth Theatre's Spring Production of School House Rock. Morgan is currently a student in the Jr. Company-Red at Masquerade's Professional School and is also studying in the professional program at The Humphrey's School of Musical Theatre. She has enjoyed studying jazz for the past five years and continues to be an active member of her school's student council and choir.

 Jamie Mills (Margaret, Lost Soul, Schoolgirl #2, Toy Clown, Spirit)

Jamie has been seen on The Masquerade main stage in Guys and Dolls & Sweeney Todd.  She is also a member of the Masquerade Jr. Company and performed as "Mama Euralie" in Once On This Island and as "The Baker's Wife" in Into The Woods.  Jamie also studies with TUTS Humphreys School of Musical Theater.  TUTS credits include: My Fair Lady, The Wizard of Oz, Into the Woods with Leslie Uggams, Snoopy, The Wiz, Damn Yankees with Tony Randall, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.  She has also been seen performing at The Crighton Theater and The Galveston Outdoor Musicals.  Jamie is a ninth grade honor student at The Woodlands High School where she plays cello in the school orchestra.  Love and thanks to my family, friends, & instructors for their continued guidance and support of my dream.

(Susan, Toy Rabbit) Becky Moyes

Becky Moyes attends St. Thomas Episcopal School and is a proud member of Masquerade Youth Theatre Company.  She first appeared on stage at age four with the lead in Good Little Sam.  She was last seen at Masquerade in their youth production of The Wizard of Oz as the Tinman.  Other Masquerade Youth Theatre credits include:  Into the Woods (Lucinda), An Evening of Stars, A Musical Review (Eliza DooLittle), & Once On This Island (Andrea).  Previous Masquerade Main Stage credits include Whistle Down The Wind.  Other credits include: The Sound of Music (Louisa-College of the Mainland), Gypsy (Baby Louise-Theatre San Jacinto), Theatre Under the Stars Gala (Annie), Winnie the Pooh (Kanga-TUTS).  She had a recurring role on the PBS television series Science Quest and appeared in the independent film The Birthday Club.  Becky is very excited to be performing in Scrooge this holiday season.  She would like to thank God, her family, friends, and all the adult actors for teaching her so much. 

 Camille Nimocks (Nell, Caroler, Christmas Treat)

Camille is a seventh grade student at River Oaks Baptist School.  She was last seen as Glenda in the Masquerade Youth Theatre production of TheWizard of Oz.  Other Masquerade Youth productions include Scool House Rock & Broadway Baby.  She is in her second year at Masquerade Theatre and has also performed in Main Street Theater's Youth productions.  Camille dances with The Metropolitan Dance Center.  She has been taking dance for seven years and voice lessons for the past year.

 

(Annie Cratchitt, Christmas Gift) Stephanie Porter

Stephanie is thrilled to be making her Masquerade Theatre Main Stage debut in Scrooge.  She studies theatre and dance at Masquerade Youth Theatre and has performed in their productions of The Wizard of Oz (Daisy Munchkin, Flying Monkey, Emarald City Hairdresser) and Aesop's Falables (Jack in the Box).  This ten-year-old has spent half her life in musical theatre, having performed in over ten productions during the past five years.  Her favorite role to date was Gretl in The Sound of Music at College of the Mainland Arenda Theatre in Texas City.  "A great big thanks to Mom, Dad, and my family at Masquerade for their support and encouragement-God bless you, everyone!" 

 Kacy Smith (Linda, Lost Soul, Schoolgirl #3, Raggedy Ann, Spirit)

Kacy holds numerous Masquerade credits including Nan in Whistle Down The Wind, Monteen in Parade, and Pepper in Annie.  Kacy has also been seen as Jack in Into The Woods, and Agwe in Once Upon This Island in Masquerade Youth Theatre Productions.  Other credits include Unity Theatre's Oliver (Bet), TUTS' Snoopy (teen), Fort Bend Theatre's Bye Bye Birdie (Kim), and Fort Bend's Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow).  Kacy studies with The Masquerade Youth Theatre's Professional School, TUTS' Humphries School of Musical Theatre, Luther Chakurian, Michael Tapley, Tom McKinney, Laura Scott, and James Christian.  Elsewhere she has studied at Duke University in the Brightleaf Music Program, and in Colorado Springs at the Perry Mansfield School of Dance.  Kacy attends Clements High School were she is a ninth grade honor student.  She gives thanks for her teachers, who give so much of themselves, and truly are the very best.

(Peter Cratchitt, "Little" Scrooge, Christmas Treat) Randy Stevenson

Randy Stevenson is a new member to The Masquerade Theatre and has performed with Masquerade Youth Theatre in The Wizard of Oz.  He also performed in various Charlie Brown plays and worked on the musical Les Miserables at Pershing Middle School and is in their technical crew.  He lives in West University Place Texas with his father and his sisters.
